VooDEWgrim has been inactive since 2022 and might be back for 2023, though this is not confirmed. There's a Twitter account named " VooDewGrim," endorsed by the official Mountain Dew Twitter account.This flavor is the seventh Halloween-themed flavor to release, the first being Pitch Black (2004), the second being Pitch Black II (2005), the third being VooDEW (2019), the fourth being VooDEW (2020), the fifth being VooDEW (2021), and the sixth being VooDEW (2022).It is slated to be officially released in stores on September 11th, 2023 throughout the United States for a limited time in 12-packs, 7.5-ounce mini cans 8-packs, and 20-ounce bottles until November 3rd. The promotion was later canceled, and Pitch Black was revealed to instead be releasing for a limited time in January of that year. In addition, a DEWcision 2023 event has been confirmed with cult-favorites Pitch Black and Typhoon returning to shelves with new Zero Sugar variants. It features a now-canceled HoneyDEW flavor and Cobra Cane, a berry & candy cane flavor, the return of Baja Blast, and a VooDEW (2023) flavor. On August 7th, 2022, in a now-deleted r/MountainDew Reddit post, a user posted an image of potential upcoming flavors for 2023. No answer has yet to arise, although it is likely to be revealed on Halloween Night. There are no hints announced yet from the social media accounts of VooDEWgrim or Mountain Dew. Since this VooDEW flavor is a Mystery Flavor, there are no known guesses yet. It is confirmed to be a collaboration with a "top Halloween Candy brand" - marking the first time Mountain Dew has partnered with a candy brand for the VooDew line. VooDEW (2023) is a Mystery Flavor of Mountain Dew and has a white look with a similar theme to Mountain Dew's other Halloween flavors.
